The Seaway Kiosk is home to the Gold Coast’s famous Crab Sandwiches. Located at the End of The Spit (507 Seaworld Drive at Main Beach), The Seaway Kiosk is a great way to enjoy seafood in a truly appropriate location. The crab sandwiches are definitely a favourite with the locals but there’s lots more to enjoy, either takeaway or dine-in, and there’s a bar with an extensive wine menu.
My favourite experiences on the Gold Coast take in a bit of food, a bit of wine, some true blue local activity, and some of the great outdoors where you can experience the climate for which Queensland is famous.
Just 10 minutes from central Surfer’s Paradise, Rosser Park is a great way to soak up the Gold Coast climate and lifestyle, with plenty of things to do for all the family. Try the Sensory Garden, where you can smell and touch plants and flowers, visit the Butterfly Garden, or take a stroll on the mangroves to mountain walk or on the boardwalks around the lake. The off-the-leash dog exercise makes up most of the park area and is fully fenced. There is agility equipment for the dogs to train with and a water fountain, as well as plenty of open space. Dogs must be on a leash unless in the signed area. No dogs are allowed in the playground area. For the active adults, there are outdoor fitness stations located along a set path.
